Petition Against New Boise River Dam
"To the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers:

The upper Boise River watershed is a showcase for Idaho's rich outdoor heritage and rugged independent spirit. Free-flowing Mores Creek, Grimes Creek, and the North, Middle and South forks of the Boise River define the area. Generations of Idahoans have homesteaded, worked and recreated along these rivers.

Building a new dam on the Boise River, at Twin Springs, Dunnigan Creek or any of the other candidate sites would destroy miles of these unique free-flowing rivers, cause irreversible harm to the environment and negatively impact transportation and private property.

I urge you to reject the option of building a new dam on the Boise River and, instead, use our limited financial resources to investigate less harmful and less expensive alternatives."

Please fill out the fields below to sign the petition. Add a personal note to the Army Corps of Engineers in the last field if you want. Please contact Liz Paul for more information.
