Army Corps Announces Meetings on New Boise River Dam

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Idaho Water Resource Board have announced four public meetings to share information about ongoing studies on a new water storage dam on the upper Boise River. Two of six sites under consideration are Twin Springs on the Middle Fork Boise and Dunnigan Creek on Mores Creek (water would be transferred from the South Fork Payette for this project.)
Idaho Rivers United is comitted to protecting the free-flowing reaches of the upper Boise River. Many other more affordable and less harmful options are available to provide water security to Ada and Canyon counties.
The four meetings are: June 29, College of Idaho, Simplot Dining Hall, Caldwell, 6:30 June 30, Boise City Hall, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. June 30, Eagle City Hall, 6:30 July 1, Ray Robison Community Hall, Idaho City, 6:30
