Citizens Track Water Quality
Idaho Rivers United volunteers are regular participants in the Boise WaterShed's bi-annual WaterShed Watch - a hands-on citizen water quality monitoring event. This spring's WaterShed Watch was held on April 17. Teams of citizen monitors worked at 35 locations in the Boise River watershed taking water samples and testing for pollution.

Idaho Rivers United fielded two teams under the leadership of Idaho Rivers United members Mark Johnson and Andy Roman. The Barber Park team with Mark was Susan Rouse, Bob Ellis, Michael Wiegand, Steve Spence and Kate Malone. Andy's team, Max Smay, Hannah Smay, Ann McClanahan, Brenda Fogdall and son, tested the waters at the raft take-out in Ann Morrison Park.

Gary Grimm, of Mountain Visions, was on hand at Ann Morrison Park and produced this super video.
