The Boise River is the lifeblood of the Treasure Valley. It supplies safe drinking water, feeds wooded areas and preserves, supports a robust fishing community, and provides numerous water activities for our many residents and visitors.
But just upstream in the river’s headwaters, Canadian mining company “American Cumo” is threatening to develop the largest open pit molybdenum mine in the world. We have halted this project twice already, but now the imminent threat of CuMo is back.
Join Advocates for the West for a drink and an update on what we're doing to stop CuMo once again. We'll receive 50% of each beer sale for the evening, which helps us fight for a clean, safe and healthy river!
