Why is preserving the river important to you?  Calling out to all of you for writings, photos and artwork that shows your love for the Boise River.

In the month of February, people are encouraged to submit to the Garden City Library or to IRU any kind of writing, photograph or artwork that depicts their love for the Boise River. Submissions must be received by Feb. 18, 2017.

You can share your experiences being on the river, talk about how the river affects you or display beautiful images of the river. Share with us whatever speaks to you about rivers. Submissions will be compiled into a book for the Garden City Library, and to our cooperating agencies. A winner will be chosen and highlighted at a River Celebration event Feb. 22nd.
This project will culminate at the Feb. 22 event, where we will have a celebration of the river. Program will begin at 6:30 p.m. with guest speakers from Boise River Enhancement Network, Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, and Idaho Rivers United.
