The South Fork of the Salmon River is threatened by a massive mine. It's time to come together to show that Central Idaho residents believe the South Fork of the Salmon is more precious than gold. Help us steer the conversation about mining in Idaho by supporting our wild lands and wild rivers at the Rally for the South Fork.
All lovers of Idaho's rivers are invited: fishermen, hunters, fathers, workers, boaters, mothers, waterkeepers and business owners. Join us at Art Roberts Park for camaraderie. You can travel by foot, kayak, canoe or paddleboard or whatever other vessel you like, but the point is to band together in support of the river.
Last spring American Rivers listed the South Fork as one of the 10 Most Endangered Rivers in the country because of the proposed mining at Stibnite. The potential for irrevocable damage is high.
