The members, supporters and employees of Idaho Rivers United share basic values and beliefs that drive all organizational efforts. The ecological integrity of Idaho's rivers and streams must be protected and restored. IRU must provide consistent and credible leadership for river conservation in Idaho that empowers the public to take action on behalf of our rivers. IRU supports a culture of open communication, teamwork and productive dialogue among the staff and board, and honors its role as a community organization that emphasizes the importance of its members, volunteers and allies.
The Communications Associate works with staff to develop and implement IRU’s communications program. This position requires a deep commitment to the mission of IRU and a strong passion for protecting rivers, intensive journalistic style writing skills and the ability to develop content for a variety of platforms.
