IRU is Idaho’s largest, statewide river conservation organization, committed to our rivers and wild fish. Founded in 1990 by a grassroots group of paddlers, anglers, and passionate river conservationists, we represent all who love the freedom, adventure, and solitude of Idaho's rivers. For more than three decades, IRU has safeguarded imperiled wild steelhead and salmon, protected water quality, and defended and promoted the Wild & Scenic values of our rivers.
