IRU and IWA are deeply rooted in a shared passion for protecting and enjoying Idaho’s rivers. Both organizations began during the fight to protect the North Fork of the Payette River from hydropower developers in the 1990s.

Now decades later, we're excited to join forces and introduce our members to each other’s efforts in safeguarding our rivers, the species that depend on them and the people that recreate on them.
