Boise River Report Card now online
The Boise River Report Card is ready! Over the course of 2025, the Boise River Stewardship program completed 103 water quality tests along the river. After analyzing the data, we have summarized and contextualized the findings on our website. While there is a one-page snapshot that rates our findings relative to hypothetical pristine levels, there is, more importantly, a wealth of information on the webpage to explain the tests, data, history, and the importance of maintaining a healthy urban river. Check out the 2025 Report Card here!
The Boise River is the jewel of the Treasure Valley. As it slices through the largest population center in Idaho, it provides many of the things we value most: drinking water, recreation, agricultural irrigation, wildlife, space to recharge mentally and physically. We believe that identifying and communicating the health of this river is vital, and we intend to report on the state of the Boise River each year. With this tool, decision makers and the public will be able to see the successes and challenges of a hard-working river.
