End of year giving gratitude

As we move into this holiday season, I cannot help but reflect on the many meaningful moments that I received this year through our rivers. Despite from the busy pace of life, moments of peace as I casted a line, flies dancing on the water. Wonder and beauty in watching an elk herd cross a river in the golden evening light. Laughter shared after crashing through a rapid and over an evening campfire on a sandy beach.

We all envision, hope for, and work toward a future in which healthy rivers of clean water with vibrant fisheries flow free and unobstructed across our beautiful state. A place where our children’s children will have the same moments of peace and beauty that we experience, where wildlife and natural habitats continue to thrive; A future in which clean water is a guarantee.

As you plan your end of year giving, consider giving back to our rivers. By supporting IRU, your investment extends well beyond the end of this year - it is an investment in a future filled with healthy, free-flowing waterways.

Through your support, IRU has spent three decades protecting Idaho’s rivers and fisheries. With your gift, you are making an immediate impact on our conservation mission. At the heart of Idaho Rivers United, there has always been a spirit of family. Together, we are making a difference that will allow our legacy to persevere for generations to come.

Your investment in our rivers and IRU’s mission can come through a variety of avenues and can be incorporated into your tax and financial planning. Outside of making a direct donation, you can financially support IRU through your retirement plan, donor advised fund, gifts of stock, and more. To learn more about end of year giving options, visit our website at idahorivers.org/waystogive, or reach out to me directly at ren@idahorivers.org. We are more than happy to discuss how you can support IRU in meaningful ways to invest in Idaho’s rivers while meeting your financial goals.
